Peter Jackson must have seen a lot of these as a kid.

I kinda got beef with his depiction of Eowyn, though. Impractical armor, big hips, not enough muscle... not a fighting woman at all.

Fair point- although wasn't the point of Eowyn's character that she longed to win renown in battle, but wound up stuck in Edoras pretty much 24/7?

There are so many things wrong with that Eowyn, but the gorgeous look on her face saying "Srsly? Lame" always made up for it for me.

Comics misses Frank a lot.

I like it even better than the Kong picture where Ann Darrow's just sitting there in the jungles of Skull Island as though she's waiting for a bus, looking around at Kong as though she's saying, "You'd damn well better have found me some Haagen Dazs, mister!"
