one for each hour I slept last night

1) The Broadway walk is still happening; it's next Saturday (the 10th) at 10 AM, at the 225th St. 1 train station. Hope to see you there!
2) NaNoWriMo, alas, is not; too much work for me to do so (a pleasant change, so I'm not really complaining.)
3) My friend Chris is home, and recovering nicely.
4) I'm mulling over what I might actually want to see in an NYC movie theater; any recommendations?
5) Can anyone recommend a good book on Japan's economic recovery after World War II? (Also, if you've not read Japan at War, I recommend it; it's a Studs Terkel-style oral history of World War II, from the point of view of Japanese citizens of various social and economic classes. Fascinating.)
