An Iowa district court ruled Thursday that same-sex couples can marry based on the state constitution's guarantee of equal treatment, court documents show.

ETA: Now it's on hold.

well if the state constitution's guarantees that gay people be treated like umm...people...then clearly that state constitution needs to be amended. I just know that if gay people in Iowa are allowed to marry, my marriage will be as good as doomed.
