It's a sad day today- my apartment mate Boogie's cat Priscilla died last night. It was never established exactly what was wrong with Priscilla (Boogie has CFS, and funds for vet exams and such were limited); she began wasting away a couple of months ago, until... Zorikh told me about it while I was unwinding from the Pennsylvania job; I don't think I'll ever forget the incongruous sound of London Calling pounding away in the background as I tried to console Boogie, who's been alternately sobbing and sleeping since I got home. (Priscilla died while at the vet's office with Boogie, while I was in Pennsylvania; as I still dream of her other cat Midnight occasionally, this is, for me, something of a mercy.) When I come fully awake, in a couple of hours, I'll see how Boogie is doing; between this and Mom's move, has been an incredibly draining week for me. Poor Boogie; I can't imagine what it's been like for her.

I'm sorry to hear of the kitty-cat's death. Even if Boogie had funds, sometimes it's very hard to know what to do for a kitty, to know if you are giving quality of life or making life unbearable for the creature. I'm sure that Boogie gave Priscilla much love and a happy life.

Thank you, Ellie. It really does hearten me to see owners like Boogie or you, who give their pets such loving care in the tough times.

Oh hun, I'm so sorry for Boogie, but I'm glad she has you to comfort her. I shall keep her and Priscilla in my thoughts. It's so tough when a pet dies.
