Rest in peace, Lloyd Alexander. I still remember discovering my friend Phil's edition of the Chronicles of Prydain while at his father's summer camp, and utterly refusing for the rest of the weekend to do anything other than finish reading them.

Now I am sad.

I reread them again as an adult. Still good.

Oh, how sad. I loved those books when I was a kid, and as [livejournal.com profile] elissaann says, they hold up well when you re-read them as an adult. I'd really like to teach them alongside the Mabinogion one of these days.

Wow, chalk me up as another sad person. I really liked Time Cat; I've been thinking I need to try re-reading it as an adult to see how well it holds up.

Oh no! How could I have missed this!? "The First Two Lives of Lukas-Kasha" is one of my favorite books! :(
