Date: 2007-03-29 06:28 pm (UTC)In fact, I'd have trouble believing that Brian Froud was not nice, and I hope nothing in my post implied that I thought otherwise. My mention of "the family business" was a reference to the fact that the elder Froud created all the creatures for the movie. (Aside from David Bowie. He seems to have been created by the Queen of Elfland or something, even when he's not dressed as Jareth.)

Date: 2007-03-29 06:35 pm (UTC)I had the pleasure of meeting Brian Froud at the San Diego Comic Con last summer. He was very sweet, and wrote a happy birthday note for a friend of mine who's a great admirer of his work.
And yes, if it came out that David Bowie was a fay changeling, I don't think a single person anywhere would be surprised.
