Thanks, Dad!

Back in my financially troubled youth, I would occasionally find money in my clothes from Dad, after a visit home. It was sweet, and needed, then; a way to communicate during particularly stormy times. Last night, during a visit to piano bar numero uno (good to see you, all!), I happened to reach into a pocket of my jacket... and found a hundred dollar bill. I mentioned this to the person I was sitting next to, with the inevitable response: "Wow, can I borrow your jacket?"

I checked all my pockets when I got home that night--nada except these words on an old fortune cookie fortune, "Your luck just changed." Harrumph!
