holiday moment at my sister's house

Currently sipping something spicy and hot; reading John Boswell's Christianity, Social Tolerance and Homosexuality, while I wait for my sister to get home with the kids. It's been a peaceful visit so far, with Meaghan helpfully opening most of my presents for me, and Matty covering this screen with his hands when (like now) he thinks it's time for Uncle Coyote to come and play. Had a lovely, quiet talk earlier with Patrick, who's currently off with Mom; astounded afresh by his maturity, each time I see him. One more RoTK viewing this evening, I think; then, I may just believe it's over.

saw the title of that book and thought it sounded interesting. is it pretty objective? is it interesting? i have a friend who would be very interested in reading something like that if it is worth it. could you give me an honest opinion? *grin*

I'm only a couple of chapters in, but John Boswell was extremely well regarded as historian and scholar; it's certainly interesting and informative. Definitely recommend if you're interested in the subject.
