Well, foo- I'd planned to get a new hat, and go as myself a year ago; however, my hat store of choice is in the midst of moving, so foo. Caught up with [livejournal.com profile] artemitis (who really needs to stop hanging out with so many tenors if she's going to drink bubble tea), and got some other important business settled, though, so yay that. May swing by Motherfucker, may check out the parade; may curl up with another Travis McGee novel, or work on my script for my commercial about Dubya, or all of these, or none, or something else entirely. Realized something the other night about why "Waterloo Sunset" has been pounding so insistently on my brain of late, and how seeing Peter Fonda's The Hired Hand helped that click into focus- but it's not quite jelling yet, and I have not grokked it in fullness, or something. The spirits are all around us, indeed. However, this commercial thingie has me excited, as do some photography ideas I've been noodling with; it's always good to have projects in mind that fill one's sails, and make the heart beat just a bit faster.

And to think, all I've planned for the evening is dinner in the world's blandest restaurant, then a jaunt to the grocery and to Target. I feel like such an underachiever.

Well, it may be in the top five, but the world's blandest restaurant, in fact, resides in my old neighborhood in Astoria. I think Zagat's even lists them as such.h
