Vignette of the week: a friend of mine has a boisterous dog, who's having issues. Sitting; fetching; not yanking the person walking her as though they were a cartoon character- although a very affectionate animal, the dog is having problems with Dog 101.

Of late, this has centered around the dog's being fed: she'll be told to sit as the food bowl is placed on the floor; she then has to wait until the owner gives the okay to chow down. I glance away as her meal is prepared, and the command to sit is given; her owner suddenly starts laughing. I look back, and the dog, butt firmly on the floor, is sliding towards the food with a look that clearly says, I'm sitting- what more do you want?"

And on that note, welcome [livejournal.com profile] fabulist and [livejournal.com profile] travellight!

Just that sooner or later, everybody in here meets everybody else one way or another.

Good luck on the tap...

You know, that's probably the first time anyone's been called "sissybritches" in my LJ- I feel like there should be a ceremony.

They didn't give me the Creative Resourcefulness Award for nothing, you know.

How much did it cost you? I imagine not!

Cost me! Cost me?

Nay! I won it for my superb sleuthing abilities and knack for building houses out of little bits of paper. Oh, and my smart mouth.

You know, I half believe that ;)

Oh, you'll come around.

I'm terribly resourceful and efficient, not to mention quick out of the chute with the smart remarks. I'm a handful.

Good enough. It's just that LiveJournal is such a small world. I in fact had my breakdown in the middle of working for [livejournal.com profile] porcinea, and now you have Miss Scarlett to boot.

You know, I had a dream recently in which you and I were looking at bombed-out loft space in lower Manhattan. Even during the dream I was all, what's this about?!

It's probably a good thing I wasn't more of a part of the Internet boom than I was, or I'd be tripping over my own backstory every time I logged on.

Do you know- I've only ever had one dream with you in it: in the dream, you, [livejournal.com profile] rm, and I were walking along Seventh Avenue, just south of Canal, talking about how the city had changed in the last few years. What is this all about?

One does. So far I haven't been hurt by it, but I have an older account here and it fascinated me to watch almost everyone I ever knew end up on LiveJournal.

I'll tell you what's even weirder about these dreams; I used to live in a loft on Laight, which runs from Seventh to Hudson about one block south of Canal...

You can see by the age of this comment why I haven't been interviewing, heh.
