When all is said and done, it's all about having someone sing "I Love You, Baby" just before they play trumpet during the breaks of that song.

Rose's? So you've now experienced the Wednesday night there, too? What do you think?

The piano player is excellent, although the fact that his voice is deeper than Robbie's forces him to transpose several songs to lower keys (quite noticeable if you're playing Queen songs, as he was); the wait staff are courteous and friendly (no surprise there); I was quite delighted to see that a fellow named T-ray I know from another bar was there, although I'm not certain that he's a regular. If Thursdays are a ten, Wednesdays are at least a solid eight.

assuming we're talking about the same song... I was overcome with the urge to shout out "someone left a cake... out in the rain!!" the other day, for no apparent reason.

Actually, that's Jimmy Webb's song MacArthur Park; this, by contrast, is the song they were singing in the bar in The Deer Hunter.
