...who needs coffee when they have little eye-openers like this (courtesy of my boss) waiting in their inbox? It wasn't actually that dreadful- she wanted to talk about scheduling over the next several weeks- but the note of ambiguity and unease it struck has resonated throughout the day. Clearly, the goat's innards lied to me today and I am not, in fact, to become emperor.
Well, let's see: A) Had a resurgence of the back pain wh ich led to back surgery last year, and which B) made me miss the rally on Saturday; C) Saw Frida which was a brilliant, passionately, marvelously written, directed and acted film... about a woman with an agonizing back condition; D) logged on, only to discover that whatever chaos cloud has blown through my life this week has taken several LJ friends along for the ride...
...and had my copy of Hounds of Love somehow snap in my hands, as I was pulling it out of the CD book, as an attempt to unwind from same. I tell you, if it wasn't for k.d. lang's Shadowlands album, I'd be reaching for the fire ants and the honey pot.
