Oh- and he's following this with a film on the Dreyfus Affair "and its condemnable 'witch hunt' of a wrongfully persecuted man." (At this point, I just hope he follows it with Jurassic Park IV, in which an Oscar-winning statuatory rapist is savaged by velociraptors. After all, he acts in a lot of his own films...)

Surprisingly strong last memory of chatting briefly with him and porcinea after a screening of Serenity at the Landmark Sunshine cinema, then seeing him walk away.
