Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has fled Libya and may be heading for Venezuela, William Hague said today.

The Foreign Secretary said he had seen 'information' that suggests Gaddafi is on his way to the South American country - as Libya was up in flames amid increasingly bloody battles between protesters and security forces today.

Libyan fighter jets and helicopters reportedly fired on protesters in the capital Tripoli, with indiscriminate bombing runs leaving 'many, many dead'.

My Tennant-era education begins

Thanks to my beloved friend Jen (WINOLJ), I have now been exposed to some vintage Tennant-era Doctor Who: Army of Ghosts; Doomwday; Blink (in which I spent most of the episode going, "Man, that actress looks familiar"- oh, right: Carey Mulligan); Utopia (hi, Sooper Sekrit Guest Star!)... yeah; I think Operation Get Netflix, Catch Up on This non-Tom Baker Doctor Who Business Finally is officially a go :D

Fun trivia: supposedly, it was watching Fourth Doctor regenerate into Fifth that made David Tennant want to become an actor. What a lovely way to acknowledge that :)
