Jan. 16th, 2010 02:57 pmThe scene: Casa del Coyote, early this morning. Groggy from a hella night at work, our hero stumbles into the kitchen...
...which is blazing with lights: there's a film shoot in progress. I'm staring down the barrel of a video camera; lights are everywhere; my kitchen is packed with crew people. No, this is not a dream; no, I was not cautioned to expect this by He Who Doth Have Much to Answer For. A preternatural hush; the crew and I stare at one another. Show no fear, I remember thinking. Film crews sense fear, and they will attack. As my brain fumbles for a response, I glance up at my apartment mate: he's up on a ladder, taping gods-know-what to the ceiling. Our gazes meet. Before I can look away, he pounces:
"What do you think, Fred- was Superman a submissive...?"
Exeunt.

Jan. 16th, 2010 03:05 pmOh, and if you're interested in the exploration of Mars and not yet reading
davidlevine, I strongly recommend it: he is working with the crew of a Mars habitat research station in the Utah desert, working on the procedures and equipment that would be needed on an actual Mars base. Cool stuff!
