I'm in Wellington. Still not sleeping well; still coughing; it looks as though I'm going to have to cut back a lot on the more outdoors-oriented parts of the trip. Well, all right; just visited the Embassy theater (which has a sculpture across the street that looks like an HG Wells martian tripod); about to get a phonetic representation of "Coyote" in Tengwar, from the guy who gave the LoTR cast their Elvish "nine" tattoos; hope to swing past Weta tomorrow (no tours, alas). Wellington is a lovely city- much more bohemian than Auckland.

Oh, long long naps, you are so good to wayward coyotes. Coughing abates, and life is even sweeter. Either my jet lag is wearing off, or the part of my brain that keeps going "OMGNEWZEALAND" continuously is finally settling down; either way, it's greatly appreciated. I still want to hit some of the countryside- and perhaps even a LoTR site or two (I have a reservation to travel to the Hobbiton site; logistics are still up in the air there, though.) Meeting tyellas tomorrow, and that is much to the good.
