I was planning to write a long, introspective post summing up the prior year- perhaps even to jot off one of those "year in review" memes that have been making the rounds. However, as the last five minutes have been spent staring at the computer screen to no real effect whatsoever:

Dear 2009- glad you're here; I have plans for our time together. Please play nicer than your older brother did.
