Today was...

...a damn fine day, all in all. Hung out with Winter and his SCA friends last night (nice to see that they give him as much of a hard time as I ever did ;); today, we headed into DC. Saw the Vietnam Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, the Smithsonian, the Library of Congress... (we walked by most of these, as it was around 5 by this point. Took the Stetson off and silently communed with Lincoln for a moment, wondering what he would think of what we have made of this country he held together, somehow. However, I did make it into the Library of Congress, whose Great Hall is such a stunningly beautiful room I could only stand there, drinking it all in, until it was almost time to leave.) Had a wonderful day, and came home to an email that made me smile :) I is one happy Coyote, I is.
