Saw someone today who looked so much like Velma, they could have been her older sister.

I was just thinking of Velma recently. Didn't she have a couple of siblings? Also relations. (Vicki would know better who you could've seen.)

Do you ever blurt out someone's name when that happens?

Velma's older sister Helen definitely looks enough like her that the family resemblance is clear. Her daughter Melanie also looks like them; the only cousin I met, Alexis, much less so. I'm not sure about the great-nieces, cousins, cousins once removed, and so on. Velma and Helen also had three half-siblings who are/were significantly older than them, and I think there were several cousins in Velma's generation.

The last I heard, a couple of years ago, Helen lives in New York, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't visit the Bay Area.
