A good thing: I was able to sincerely thank my supervisor when I left; she helped make an extremely difficult job bearable. Less good: my apartment mate has been cleaning his room; for some reason, this involved his using a power drill well, well before my usual wake-up time. This may not be the cause of an email hiccup where I sent goodbye messages which inadvertantly CC'd people several times in a row, so that some people got three or four mesages (most not addressed to them), but I'm pretty sure it didn't help.
