coyotegothI've taken to walking home after work (around Houston, on the west side). The city has calmed down from its daytime energy; the weather is cool, but not biting. Too, I sleep better when I exercise.
Damn, is the scene in "Exit Wounds" where Jack wakes up in the Hub to discover his surprise guest ever a crap time for my DVD player to crap out =/
I've seen all of one of the Best Picture nominees this year; while both Hugo and The Artist are looking increasingly interesting (and I'm even hearing good things about Midnight in Paris), this has not been much of a Golden Age for cinema. Ten best Picture nominees? Save it for years like 1939, Hollywood.
I heard a song in my local coffee shop (Portugese hip-hop, quoth my barista) that sampled Henry Mancini's "Baby Elephant Walk" theme from Hatari!; this tickled me immensely.
