...Got to concur, it's got the epic scope, mindbending surrealism and above all the ineffaceable *Britishness* that would make it a prime candidate for a Gilliam.

If I may add something weird (although maybe not so weird given the mention of Good Omens), I'd be interested to see a Gilliam take on Stardust.

Or how about some classics: Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Ferris Bueller's Day Off (yes, I am serious)...
