ARRI, Panavison, and Aaton have all quietly ceased production of film (movie) cameras and will be concentrating on the design and manufacture of digital cameras from now on.

Hrrr.

Thing is, I can foresee there still being a market for film movie cameras (just not as much of a one), whereas the HD digital camera market is already hotchin' with new brands (RED for instance seems to be the up-and-comer, especially for television). I wonder which of the "legacies" is going to lose its shirt over this?
