Australia’s highest court ruled today that transgender people can legally change their gender without undergoing surgery, at least in some Australian states.

I was one of the many, many people donating to their appeal, and this is really thrilling. The ruling applies specifically to Western Australia, but this kind of ruling can be used by other states as well - this just made it easier for everyone.
