A new survey says the average price of regular gasoline in the United States has jumped 33 cents per gallon in the last two weeks.

The Lundberg Survey of fuel prices released Sunday says it's the second biggest price increase over a two-week span on record.

Analyst Trilby Lundberg found in the survey completed Friday that the average national price of a gallon of regular is $3.51.

True.

It went from just under $3/gal for regular 87 octane, to almost $3.40/gal for the same octane in just a few days.

NO ME GUSTA.

I think I paid $3.88 last week for 87 octane at Arco (consistently the cheapest - the Shell catty-corner to it was probably ten cents more than that). But then it's no surprise that the Bay Area's gas prices are some of the highest in the nation. I may be misremembering but I could swear I saw $4.59 diesel the other day.
