Hellraiser remake to make Pinhead more hip and teen-friendly.

TEEN.

FRIENDLY.

Unless this somehow involves 1) Simon Pegg (in any capacity) and/or 2) Justin Beiber encountering the consequences of playing with a Lament Configuration, do not want.

So much love for the GQ!

(my brother and I went to see that and were the only people in the theatre laughing ... you know you're a Star Trek geek when... :D )

And better yet, it's "hip." Now, I'm envisioning Pinhead and the gang down at the local malt shop, planning to hand out Lament Configurations at the sock hop...

I'll confess I'm not really a fan of making everything darker and edgier (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DarkerAndEdgier) -- I mean, it worked for Battlestar Galactica, but Hellraiser was just the right degree of dark I think. They tried darker & edgier with Hellraiser 3 and it sucked. Making it less dark would likely suck, too, and it doesn't even make sense because Barker has other material that's already less dark.

Honestly, the only way I could see to successfully make it darker is if Pinhead turned out to be Dick Cheney.

Do want. At least, sounds like I do want - I've never seen Hellraiser. *hides under the desk&

Hmm; it's rather a difficult movie to recommend to someone whose tastes I know less than completely- suffice to say, if you ever watched Blue Velvet and thought, "Nice atmosphere, but not really dark enough..."

Um. Say what now?

Yeah; my inner child is rocking back and forth and sucking its thumb. (Which, come to think of it, was my original reaction to Hellraiser. But still.)

I am now picturing Pinhead as played by Zach Efron in a Jar Jar costume. Thaaaanks.

i really hope this means pinhead gets played by nicolas "nick" jonas with miranda cosgrove playing his love interest... perhaps maybe a scene where he tries out for american idol or something
