The Film Society of Lincoln Center has announced plans to celebrated the 25th anniversary of the epochal teen film The Breakfast Club on Monday September 20 at 7PM, with a special screening of the film at New York City's Paris Theater, followed by cast Q & A with Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, and Ally Sheedy. To moderate the Q & A in Hughes’ absence, the Film Society recruited filmmaker Kevin Smith.

Although I am extremely dis enamored of all the "when you grow up, your heart dies" crap (I'm older than most of the actors- included Hughes himself, who cameo'd as Brian's father- who played the adults were when the movie was shot), it is damn nice to see an 80s dialogue-driven flick that's not i>My Dinner With Andre. Sweet touch with a soundtrack, too.

(Does this weekend still look good?)
