I grew up in Potsdam, a small town in rural northern New York just this side of the Canadian border. (I Literally learned to swim in the St. Lawrence river.) I went to college in White Plains; to me, New York was always the place one went to have adventures on the weekends... so, after college, there was little doubt about where I'd wind up.
