I'm still in Auckland; I'm struggling with a fatigue that seems to be part jet lag, part recuperating from pre-travel exhaustion, and part annoying cold *tragic face* My energy level keeps wavering: I was able to scramble up a 50' *extremely* sheer cliff face this morning (only to discover that the mountain in question had a perfectly nice footpath running up the other side), but had to sit and rest twice on the way back down. Am currently contemplating/planning a sky jump for tomorrow AM (take that, cold!); tomorrow, I'm planning to go on a tour of the North part of the island (including a swing by Matamata, where Hobbiton was built), but that's up in the air right now, due to health issues. Still, it's absolutely impossible to be depressed about any of this; wherever I go from here, it'll be an adventure. New Zealand is paradise; I could see myself living here.

What part of NZ are you visiting, if I may ask? I'm only spending a day or two on the South Island, but it sounds amazing :)

We're flying into Christchurch, spending a day or two there, and then spending the rest of the trip up in Abel Tasman National Park/Nelson area, in the north bay. :D

How was Nelson, by the way? Did you go to the place that made the One Ring? (Jens Hansen, IIRC)
