I believe coyotes have been limited to North and Central America, at least for now. Foxes have made it to all the major continents, but apparently not New Zealand, although I expect foxes would love the tasty ground birdies. New Zealand's ecology is so strange and primitive that I can't even pick out a mid-size predator of similar style; hawks are the best I can find.
