thanks again, [livejournal.com profile] gtrout

Extremely discouraging fact: the most fun I've had at the movies in the last few months has been Twilight. (Of course, quite a lot of this had to do with thinking of lines such as PREMARITAL UNDERPANTS ARE NOT OKAY!, but still.)

A more encouraging thing: I hope you liked the Northwest scenery. Most of the movie was shot less than an hour from where I live.

Indeed I did; I have fond memories of visiting the Snoqualmie Falls area from when I was in Seattle a few years ago, too.

Another worthy place! I visited there and Roslyn, WA, where Northern Exposure was filmed, back in 1994.

I'm hoping good hopes that the film version of Cormac McCarthy's The Road, also shot in Oregon around the same time, will be good. (Mike Russell (http://www.culturepulp.com) visited the filming of both Twilight and The Road, and was more impressed with how The Road was being made.)

Yes to the lovely scenery. And yes, it was actually a surprisingly fun movie. Albeit disappointingly uncracky. Had there not been a constant Cleolinda presence in the back of my head making with the snark, it would have been surprisingly lulz-free. If you don't count the whole "hokey smokes, deranged stalker behavior is NOT ROMANTIC" angle.
