I'm back at work, and waiting for tonight to be over, so that I can take the first of the Vicodin I've been prescribed; for the last week, I've been dealing via some painkillers I had left over from another medical situation. It worked well enough at controlling pain, but led to such complications as my apparently e-mailing childhood friends out of the blue (I have no memory of this; happily, I don't seem to have said anything embarrassing), and royally mangling "The Kick Inside" at piano bar the other night. So, yeah- probably a good idea to wait until my shift is over. It hurts, but it's tolerable; having it (finally!) be over is a Very Good Thing. I'll probably be keeping a fairly low profile over the next few weeks; this really wore me out.
