1) I will never, ever forget that "I Will Survive" was playing over the sound system in the diner as I began to read this. The great DJ in the sky has a lot to answer for, in so many ways.

2) Remember all those "rocks fall; everybody dies" jokes? Right about now, JKR is laughing insanely and bellowing, "Who's laughing now, fandom? Who's laughing now?" (It's a pity Sam Peckinpah's dead; he'd be a natural to direct Movie 7.)

3) Also, I swear, she simply cut n' pasted this together from about a dozen different fanfics. From the peacocks at stately Malfoy manor (which I loved) to the "so obligatory it hurts" R/T wedding, this thing is simply one long, "Dear fandom- you were right."
