I'm in a strange funk of a mood, for reasons I couldn't begin to guess at. No piano bar tonight; I'm going to head home after a quick trip to the local video store, to see if they have Moulin Rouge, and perhaps To Kill a Mockingbird. (The latter is particularly unlikely, but I can hope.) Biking tonight, if the rain holds off.


(edited to read: On second thought, Roman Holiday might be a better choice, not least because Audrey Hepburn has been much in my thoughts of late; there's not a chance in hell the store will have Mockingbird in stock, come to that. Amused briefly to be looking through some Alex Ross art on a website, and to notice afresh the slyness of casting Peck as the aged Bruce Wayne in the artwork forKingdom Come. A lone crusader for justice... yeah.

Kim's probably would have it (although I'd be astonished if it was on the shelves right now), and they're reasonably close to my way home to Brooklyn. However, I despise Kim's, and prefer giving TLA (http://www.tlavideo.com/company/vid7.cfm?c=0&sn=1&v=1) my video business (he said snootily). One of my friends had a bad experience at Kim's; also, I have yet to give TLA a request for a video they didn't have on their shelves- and I see some esoteric movies.
