i was shot (with a paint gun)

Yesterday began badly, with cancelled plans due to not feeling well. Later, I was feeling better; around ten at night, I walked to Oakland public library to return some DVDs. On the way home on Grand, I had just crossed Filbert... when I heard the sound of a repeat-fire paintgun, and felt the impacts on my back. I tried running, but he was chasing me and firing; finally, I turned and charged. (A paintgun impact hurts about as much as a wasp sting; I was enraged.) I got within about ten feet of him, when I stumbled, and fell hard on my knee; when I got up, he was gone. Now, I have about half a dozen paintgun welts (including one that *just* missed my left eye); the coat a friend got for me about a year ago is stained with yellow paint. Filed a police report; got a courtesy ride home; taking today off work. This also happened about nine months ago (someone shot me with a paintgun from a moving car); really, REALLY hope, if it's the same guy, that I can get ahold of him next time.
