I'm amused to notice afresh that Indiana Jones was, at best, utterly superfluous to the climax of Raiders; at worst, he may have contributed to Germany's presence in WWII (without Jones' interference and delays, what are the odds Belloq might have simply taken the Ark to Berlin... and opened it in the presence of the Fuhrer?)
