Map of the Dead helps you plan for the zombie apocalypse! (And probably garden-variety disasters, too!)

This story is part of a perpetually WIP Harry potter fic- my non-Deathly Hallows-compliant version of Book 7- that I began while biting my nails after finishing Half-Blood Prince. The book 7 story as a whole is a rather dark and troubled thing- things weren't looking too rosy at the end of Book 6- but this piece stands alone; it takes place rather earlier (just after Prisoner of Azkaban, in fact), and I actually think it's one of my more successful pieces of writing. I started out by taking Snape and Dumbledore- those two guarded, defensive men- and set out to write my own version of what I thought they might talk about, without the Trio around to complicate things as, unavoidably, they do...

9 directors perfect to take over The Hunger Games franchise.

1) Some interesting choices, actually.

2) Huh- for some reason, thought they'd throw Fincher in, just on general darkity dark darkitude.

3) Was listening to someone make the case for Polanski earlier; I could've seen this *MUCH* more easily if he weren't, you know, Polanski.

4) In the most warped, twisted part of my mind, I secretly want them to hire Todd Solondz. Just because.

"Well, well, well," growled Fenrir Greyback, baring his fangs as he stared at Ron, Harry, and Augusta Longbottom, trapped in the alley he had just entered. "Three Gryffindors helpless without their wands, and me in the mood for a late-night snack..."

"Oh, you think so, do you?" retorted Augusta, as she stepped forward. "ATTACK!"

Greyback opened his mouth to say something- then, his eyes widened, as he recoiled in fear. He turned to run- and the stuffed vulture from Augusta's hat, which had expanded to the size of a roc as it launched itself at him, seized him in its claws.

"There- the nestlings have been hungry of late," said Augusta in satisfied tones, as the vulture carried the struggling Greyback away. "Who's the late-night snack now, eh?"

"Brilliant!" said Harry. "We should all wear those- we'd wrap this up in a week!"

Oh, yeah?" replied Ron. "Just make sure I'm around when you tell Mad-Eye..."
