Nov. 28th, 2011 02:33 pmKen Russell, rest in peace. From his biographies of composers for Monitor, to the Oscar-nominated adaptation of Women in Love he made with Larry Kramer (yes, *that* Larry Kramer); Tommy; Lair of the White Worm (I was amused to re-view that recently, and discover that its stars grew up to be Hugh Grant and Peter Cipaldi); The Devils... his movies were bombastic, absurd, and nigh-incomprehensible at times, but rarely boring. Here's to you, Mister R.; I hope they have a kick-dancing line of nuns waiting to greet you at the gate.
