Still recovering from the Transamerica pyramid/6th and Clement jaunt the other day; I have a smajillion things I want to do in the time I have left here, but I suspect that today will actually be a "possibly be social, but spend as little time actually on my feet as possible" sort of a day. I made it out to The Other Change of Hobbit (F/SF bookstore in Berkeley), which was nice; alas, they seem to be temporarily closed for a combination of competition from online stores, and tax reasons. Still, I got to meet Sam and Trouble, two adorable part-Siamese cats, and to donate a few dollars to help them fight the good fight. Made it out to see [livejournal.com profile] feyandstrange and [livejournal.com profile] digitalsidhe, always a delight; we ate dinner at a place which used to park two pink Cadillacs in front of the venue, as a waiting room of sorts. Still a millionmillion things I want to do, but I feel sleeeepy...

Two quick links:

How to make mayonnaise in two minutes or less.

Also: Joss Whedon has made a movie of Much Ado About Nothing, starring Nathan Fillion and Sean Maher.

The last of the nation’s most powerful nuclear bombs - a weapon hundreds of times stronger than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima - is being disassembled nearly half a century after it was put into service at the height of the Cold War.

(...of course, if we suddenly need Bruce Willis and his crack team of deep core oil drillers to stop a dinosaur killer that's about to collide with the Earth, we may be screwed...)
