Stephen King's next book, due out in November, will be titled 11/22/63 – the date Kennedy was shot dead while travelling in an open-topped presidential limousine in Dallas, Texas – and will feature a time-travelling Maine schoolteacher, Jake Epping, who tries to prevent the killing.

The vintage comics scene is in shock this afternoon with the news that the CGC 9.6 copy of Amazing Fantasy #15, the first appearance of Spider-Man by Steve Ditko and Stan Lee, has sold in a private transaction for $1.1 million.

Meanwhile, Herschell Gordon Lewis (yes, that Herschell Gordon Lewis) is being shown at Anthology. I... Anthology... what? Are they behind on the rent this month...? (Someday, speaking of HGL, I'll have to post my explanation of how 2,000 Maniacs is simply a remake of Brigadoon.)

I haven't, but any movie that stars Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor and Rip Torn and Stephen Root and Alan Tudyk and Missi Pyle (the "That's not right!" girl from Galaxy Quest) and Gary Cole (the "riiiiiight" guy from Office Space) and Jason Bateman and Hank Azaria and Lance Armstrong as himself and Chuck Norris and William Shatner and David Hasselhoff (seriously- Shatner and Hasslehoff in the same movie? THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!) and Justin Long (the kid from Gaxaxy Quest) and Curtis Armstrong (Risky Business, Better off Dead)... well, that's some kind of a cast, right there.
