Ahh, YouTube...
Dec. 26th, 2010 12:45 am( This is the opening credit sequence for a '70s TV show called Bigfoot and Wildboy; as a child of that decade, it makes me preposterously happy for reasons I can't name here. If you aren't a child of the '70s yourself, you'll probably have the urge to feel my forehead for a fever if you watch it. )
( And speaking of embarrassing favorite '70s TV shows, here's the opening credits for Ark II: basically, Damnation Alley with hippie ecologists in their mighty Winnebago of Science. )
( And, so long as we're discussing postapocalyptica, lets's not forget Thundarr the Barbarian, which is about as Gamma World as it gets. Art contributions by Jack Kirby! )
( Now, let us now look softly upon the genius that was Land of the Lost. Sure, the FX are clunky, but this was actually a fascinating SF TV show... and hey: sleestak! )
( O, Mighty Isis was one of several shows of the time that featured that featured strong, independent women (not all of whom had superpowers, but all right), along the lines of Bionic Woman. (Did fembots scare the crap out of anyone else, by the way?) This, incidentally, was the first time I ever heard the name 'Hatshepsut.' )
( And finally, how can I leave out the concentrated awesome that was Electra Woman and Dyna Girl? )
