To be fair, he's quite good, but this still wins my 'Cognitively Dissonant Casting of the Week' award. )

Dan Savage to someone who writes in saying that they’re traumatized over having sex with their husband since a sexual assault, and feeling worried about losing their relationship with a boyfriend in the bargain (it’s an open marriage): "You’re being a total shit" (for not going into therapy that would help them resume sex with their husband sooner). Shakesville offers an eloquent criticism here; I’m still seething. (As an aside to the Shakesville columnist, I see absolutely nothing in the original letter to confirm that it was written by a woman, although the Shakesville respondent repeatedly makes that assumption.)
