-happy birthday, rm and reazik!

-Went to visit roadnotes on Saturday; she's in good spirits, and recovering well, apart from some minor fever spikes which contributed to a slightly delayed release. She writes, "Mother of gods, can I endure two more days of this hospital's food?I have tried to be good, but Soren may have to smuggle something edible in for me tomorrow."

-Went to the (glowsticked) candlelight vigil in Washington Square Park. It spattered rain the entire time, and I probably thought about the "tears in the rain" speech from Blade Runner more than I should have. Still, lovely to see so many people there for it.

-Fic rec, from a_t_rain: The Lamentable Comedy of Severus, Half-Blood Prince of Denmark. What it says on the label, but with a twist I shan't divulge; quite delightfully clever.

Things are a bit better than they were at the last posting. I'm cleaning up my life, physically and otherwise; joining a gym; making a small bit of headway on the endless forest of "not yet read" books on my shelves. It's very easy to polarize things into "OMG this is the WORST THING EVER"; that rarely turns out to be the case, though.
