Rabbits in my friends' living room (in a hutch); sea chanteys all night; a feeling like opening an oven door when you walked outdoors; a late-night Close Encounters viewing; purple sparks from a transformer as lightning hit it- we, in our car, were rather wide-eyed, and glad that the torrential rain minimized the chance of fire; stopping by a benefit for the husband of a friend; home, to watch a 3-hour documentary on John Cassavetes.

Not a bad weekend, all in all :)

Apparently, Homeland Security has been spying on and investigating anyone who files a Freedom of Information Act request. (More info here; according to this article, the practice supposedly stopped when Associated Press began investigating.)
