Five things I miss about the '80s
Jun. 2nd, 2010 11:27 amI had a random conversation with the apartment mate recently; in the course of it, I happened to start listing things I missed about the '80s. Accordingly, I've put a list behind the cut; I intentionally kept it down to the first things that happened to hove through my mind. (If you feel like making such a list in return (granted that not all of my flist were alive back then), I'd certainly be curious to read it.)
( A qualifier: I grew up in pre-Internet rural northern New York; a lot of what people might miss about, say, The Limelight in its heyday simply wasn’t available to me. )
Special mention to: a sense of innocence about just how badly George Lucas could strip mine the mythology he had created.
