A history of Mother's Day. Not always happy reading- the woman who founded Mother's Day wound up crusading against it- but very touching in points, as with the "Mother's Appreciation Day" of 1868, in which Union and Confederate veterans were brought together: "The initially tense day goes well," reads the description, "with veterans from the North and South weeping and shaking hands for the first time in years."

"You can imagine where it goes from there."

Why am I even surprised that there's an X-rated parody of the Big Lebowski (NSFW, need it be said) out there?
