Constance McMillen, a Mississippi teen, recently became the focus of several news articles by wanting to bring her girlfriend to the prom. After much much discussion, the school district allowed her to bring her date to the prom (along with a total of seven other students)- only now, it turns out that the prom she attended may have been a fake thrown with the complicity of local parents, as the majority of the student body attended a secret alternate prom at another location.

Per a Gawker update: “A tipster tracked down one of McMillen's classmate's Facebook profiles, and she had lots of nice prom photos uploaded yesterday. So that would fit with the timeline. And there are more than five folks in the photos, so we're guessing that means they weren't the group that went to Constance's prom.”
