RIP, Little Camera That Could
Jan. 11th, 2010 03:36 pmFive years ago, I got a free digital camera as a bonus from my job; it was my first digital camera, and I was a quick convert (although I miss darkroom work). Since then, that camera has been to Greece (although I haven't); Australia (ditto, although I'm planning to rectify that), and New Zealand; I've held onto it with one hand while clutching the guy rope of a rocking boat with another, and used it as my go-to camera on innumerable other small vacations (I *do* have another digital camera, with far more bells and whistles; I tend to use that one for photography experiments rather than caught-moment-type stuff). Now, my apartment mate's cat, a large and clumsy beast, has knocked it onto the floor (while simultaneously doing likewise with my netbook, with similar effects); the viewing screen is cracked; I have no idea how feasible fixing it is. Not a happy day at Casa del Coyote.
