This is the first proper chapter of a story I'm writing for epilogue_hp; it's set the morning after the prologue, in which that year's students travel to Hogwarts, roughly 20 years after the events of Deathly Hallows. (A later chapter was briefly accidentally posted last night; this is the actual second chapter.) It's set in an AU version of the Deathly Hallows epilogue- one in which Slytherin House has been reopened after a nineteen-year shutdown, just in time for a certain eleven-year-old to go to Hogwarts...

I just saw the Torchwood "Out of Time" episode, and found it to be a lovely thing, even with 1) not much Ianto and 2) no pterodactyl :( I've been avoiding studying the backstory too closely, but this *is* intriguing stuff.
