My sister just called me, to tell me something about Mom; the connection died just as she was saying "*static*...having a lot of brain and neurological tests done..."

(ETA: Annnnnd my sister called from her piece of crap cell phone, which means that in all probability, I won't be able to hear more until 7 or so, when she gets home.)

(Also ETA: See next entry. Not so scary as it sounded on the phone. WHEW.)

update- email from Mom

Hey, Fred, I'm going through some testing. My doctor has ordered a bunch of tests because of some problems I'm having. This week I am having an xray of my spine and an MRI of my spine. In the near future I will be having some neurological and neuropsychological testing. After that ... in early November ... they want to go over the results and make some recommendations. They would like it if "a contact person", preferably a family member could be there. The likely date is November 17th in the morning.

I talked to Sarah and she simply flat out cannot come, though she would be willing to arrange a conference call. She is going to talk to you about the possibility of you coming. With a morning appt, you could come out the day before and catch a train back the day we see the doctors and/or social worker.


...not sure what this pertains to, other than possibly her fibro, but it's not NEARLY as bad as I was imagining. WHEW.
